Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chae-won from the Korea-Japan project girl group 'IZone' officially joined HYBE Labels.
HYBE announced on the 14th, "Sakura Miyawaki and Chaewon Kim have signed an exclusive contract with Source Music, a label under HYBE."
"The two artists have signed an exclusive contract with us based on mutual trust, and they plan to debut as the first girl group to be launched in cooperation with HYBE and Source Music," it said.
Rumors of Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chae-won joining HYBE have been floating around since last year.
Miyawaki Sakura debuted with the Japanese girl group HKT48 in 2011, and was involved in AKB48 activities. She enjoyed great popularity domestically, and in 2018, she debuted as a K-pop idol through Mnet's 'Produce 48' and the forthcoming coming IZone.
Kim Chae-won, who was under Woollim Entertainment, was also selected as a member of IZone. She left Woollim last year.
