Previously, April member Chaekyung announced that she was terminating her contract with DSP Media.
On April 22, DSP Media released the following statement: "We've been talking about what our artist Yoon Chaekyung will be doing in the future. After much deliberation, we've come to terms with Chaekyung's wish to test herself in a new environment, and we've agreed to terminate her exclusive contract on April 20, 2022, effective immediately."
Following in the footsteps of Chaewon and Yena, Chaekyung is the third member to leave the label. April was formally dissolved in January of this year, after charges of bullying against former member Hyunjoo.
