Super Junior's Kim Hee Chul is being criticized for jokes that netizens deem to cross the line.
In a behind-the-scenes video of the most recent episode of 'Alcohol Fighter', Hee Chul featuring guests, Winner Kang Seung Yoon, and Kim Jin Woo, the two idol was shown dancing to the 'Cocaine Dance' challenge. The challenge is popular among Korean female streamers and has recently become famous due to actor Heo Seong Tae dancing to it on SNL Korea. The problem stems from Hee Chul's comments after their dance where he asked, "Are you going to go on a R-rated stream platform?" The editors of the video also added subtitles saying the idols will be receiving 'donations' as streamers do.
Viewers were left uncomfortable with the fact that they would talk about a R-rated stream site so freely as well as uploading the video without thinking it was problematic. Regardless of whether there were any malice behind the comments, fans are saying that the comments were out of line.
Amid the criticism, the channel has made the video in question private.
