This is the second petition for the drama.

A new petition calling for the end of JTBC's new drama 'Snowdrop' has gathered 110K signatures after just one day. On December 19th, a petition titled 'Petition to end Snowdrop' appeared on the Blue House (Korea's presidential office) website.
As of 4:50 PM KST there has been 115276 signatures.
The petition calls for the cancellation of the drama due to 'misrepresenting history'.
This isn't the first time there has been a petition calling for the cancellation of the drama. When the synopsis was first revealed in March of this year, a petition calling for the cancellation gained over 200k signatures prompting for the executive house to respond. The office stated that they don't find the drama to be misrepresenting historical facts and any involvement would be censorship. They further stated they respect the creative direction of the drama.
Regarding the backlash, JTBC has emphasized that in no way are they trying to misrepresent the history behind the drama. Also they stated in no way are the main characters portrayed as playing an important role in the movement for democracy.
