KEP1ER SETS RECORD FOR GIRL GROUP DEBUT FIRST DAY SALES

Are they a legitimate fourth gen contender?

Just debuted girl group 'Kep1er' set a record for first day sales for a debuting girl group. Hanteo Chart reported the group's 'First Impact' recorded 150,153 copies breaking the previous record.

Kep1er was formed through Mnet program, 'Girl's Planet 999'. Their name combines 'Kep', which means catching dreams, and the number 1, which means the nine girls coming together as one to be the best. It is also a reference to the planet 'Kepler' and also inspired by German astronomer Johannes Kepler. The group debuted on January 3.
