Rumors are circulating that actress Shim Eun Ha will return to the small screen after 21 years of retirement.
Sports Chosun reported on the 16th that Shim Eun-ha has finally decided to appear in a drama.
According to the report, Shim Eun-ha is expected to take on the role of a working mother in a new drama in the second half of this year at the latest.
If this is true, it means that Shim Eun-ha is making a comeback to the small screen after 21 years of announcing her retirement from the entertainment industry in 2001. As a young star in the 1990s, she enjoyed tremendous popularity, and was the Song Hye Kyo of her time.
Shim Eun-ha, who was born in 1972, made her debut in the drama 'Family of Three under one roof' in 1993 as an MBC Talent. Back then broadcasting companies would sign their own talents, similar to Entertainment agencies today. She rose to prominence as a young star by taking on the main character in 'The Last Game' and 'M', 'The Trap of Youth', the movie 'Christmas in August' and 'The Zoo Next to the Art Museum'.

Afterward, in 2005 she married Ji Sang-wook, the current head of the Yeouido Research Institute, and had two daughters. Shim Eun-ha has been supporting the campaigning activities of Ji Sang-wook, who ran for the 20th general election in 2016 and the 21st general election in 2020.
