IU DONATES $100K TO HELP THOSE AFFECTED BY WILDFIRE

Singer IU donated 100 million won to Hope Bridge to help the victims of a large wildfire that started in Uljin, North Gyeongsang on the 4th and spread to Samcheok, Gangwon.


According to Hope Bridge on the 5th, she donated 100 million won to IU to help support temporary housing for forest fire victims.


After hearing about the severe forest fire damage, IU's agency is said to have delivered the donation by quickly and meticulously identifying what help the victims most needed.


This donation will be used to support temporary prefabricated housing that is needed for families who have lost their homes due to forest fires.


Kim Jeong-hee, secretary-general of Hope Bridge, who ran to Uljin immediately after the fire and visited the site of the damage, said, “In a situation where many victims who have lost their livelihood due to the sudden forest fire are in difficult pain and worry, with IU’s warm help, the victims can return to their daily lives. We will do our best to support you with everything you need until then.”
